Intel to launch five notebook CPUs on May 31

Intel has notified its partners about some changes to its notebook lineup, DigiTimes reports over a dozen chips will be phased out before the end of the first half of this year, and five new CPUs will be launched in May.

Three Core 2 and two Celeron processors will be introduced on May 31, 2009. This includes the $530 Core 2 Quad T9900, $348 Core 2 Duo P9700, $242 Core 2 Duo P8800, $86 Celeron T3100 and $80 Celeron T3000.

This month seven mobile Core 2 Duo processors will go End of Life (EOL): Core 2 Duo T7250, T7100, U7700, U7600, U7500, U2200 and U2100.

April will be the EOL month for six Celeron notebook chips: the Celeron 570, 560, 550, 540, 530 and 520.

And another five mobile Core 2 CPUs will be EOL in May: Core 2 Extreme X9000, Core 2 Duo T9500, T9300, T8300 and T8100.
