ASUS debuts Eee PC 1004DN with optical drive

ASUS has presented the Eee PC 1004DN, this Atom N280 based netbook set itself apart by including an internal DVD burner. The 1004DN has a 10" LCD display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, Intel GN40 chipset, up to 2GB DDR2 memory, up to 120GB 1.8" 4200RPM HDD, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. The weight of the Eee PC 1004DN is 1.45kg with a 6-cell battery pack.
The 1004DN is the first in the Eee PC™ range to feature a Super-Multi optical disc drive, enabling users to read and write optical discs for convenient data back-ups. An Express Card slot provides expansion capabilities, along with plug-and-play compatibility and auto-configuration access. It also has an ergonomic keyboard to provide users with a more comfortable typing experience.

The Eee PC 1004DN sports a 10-inch LCD display that supports 720p high definition playback for more vibrant and vivid visuals, and features a multi-touch touchpad for intuitive and interactive control over multimedia playback, or surfing the Internet without using a mouse.
