HP 13.3-inch CULV notebooks expected in Q2 2009

DigiTimes reports HP will debut 13.3" Intel CULV platform based notebooks in the second quarter. Acer will debut its 11.6" CULV notebook in April, and 13.3" models will follow later.
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has plans to introduce several 13.3-inch consumer ultra low voltage-based (CULV-based) notebooks in the second quarter, with Quanta Computer and Compal Electronics being the main makers for the segment, according to industry sources.

Acer is also considering introducing 13.3-inch CULV notebooks, but it has yet to decide who will be its ODM, the sources said. Quanta has already received orders from Acer for an 11.6-inch CULV notebook that will be unveiled as early as April, the sources added.
