Popular iTunes songs get more expensive

The new pricing structure Apple announced in January for its iTunes music store went into effect this week. The price of popular songs has been increased to $1.29 and most other songs still cost $0.99.

Steve Jobs promised three months ago many more songs would be available for 69 cents than $1.29, but it's exactly the opposite. Songs priced at 69 cents appear to be very scarce.
