NVIDIA to manufacture 40nm GPUs this quarter

A report by the Commercial Times in Taiwan claims NVIDIA has set its outsourcing schedule with TSMC and UMC for the second quarter.

The GPU giant will make more 55nm GT200b chips, and will start mass production of several 40nm GPUs. The report claims the entry-level GT218, high-end mobile GT215 and mainstream GT214 and GT216 40nm GPUs will enter production in mid to late second quarter.
