MSI X340 CULV notebook series released

MSI send out a press release to unveil the new Xtra Slim X340 notebook, it's based on the Intel CULV platform and only 6mm at the thinnest point.
MSI, leading designer and manufacturer of computer components and notebooks, launches its MSI X340 series, its Xtra slim and Xtra light notebooks with the latest technologies. These stylish designed notebooks are only 6 mm at its thinnest point and its weight is only 1.3 KG, with a 4 cell battery. These notebooks are based on the energy saving and high performance Intel® Centrino & Intel® Celeron platforms and are equipped with MSI Eco Engine and LED Backlight Technology. With its 13.4” display with 16:9 HD widescreen, full I/O support including HDMI and support for Bluetooth this notebooks is positioned as feature rich for an affordable price. The notebooks come with sleeve and mouse and 2 year ‘pick up & return’ warranty.

Xtra Slim design
The MSI X340 is only 6 mm at its thinnest, 19.8 mm at its widest and the entire notebook only weights 1.3 kilogram, including a 4 cell battery. The 13.4” screen has a 16:9 HD widescreen and is equipped with MSI Vivid Image Enhancement Technology, for the brightest 3D viewing experience.

Xtraordinary interface
The MSI X340 is equipped with Full I/O support, including a HDMI interface, which offers 5 GB of transmitting bandwidth. It provides a complete entertainment interface, which includes a 2 in 1 card reader (supports SD/MMC) and USB 2.0 port. Furthermore, MSI X340 is equipped with 802.11 a/g/n Wi-Fi wireless internet, Bluetooth and webcam.

Xtreme power saving
MSI X340 is equipped with the MSI ECO Engine. With this function the power can be managed manually, so that less power is used to provide a longer battery life. By simply touching the MSI ECO touch sensor, one of the 5 different modes can be chosen for saving power: Gaming mode, Movie mode, Presentation mode, Office mode, and Turbo Battery mode.

The LED power-saving backlight technology provides better colours and brightness, which improves the quality of displayed images and results in a longer battery life. The MSI X340 comes in two versions. One is based on Intel® Core™2 Solo CULV SU3500 Processor and Intel® GS45 + ICH9M-SFF Chipset (Intel® Centrino), to deliver a long battery life. The other MSI X340 uses the Intel® Celeron CULV 723 processor.
