FUD Zilla reports AMD's mobile dual-core "Congo" platform will arrive in late Q2 2009. This is a competitor for the Intel CULV platform.
The power efficient platform for thin and light notebooks was scheduled to appear later this year, but in a recent conference call AMD said it would hit the market in summertime. AMD Chief Operations and Administrative Officer Bob Rivet says it we can expect it "at the back end of this quarter."

Congo is an improved version of AMD's Yukon mobile platform, but unlike Yukon which is single-core, Congo will feature dual-core Coneseus CPUs. Thus far, only HP has used the Yukon platform, in its Pavilion DV2 notebook which launched a month ago.
