Intel 32nm Clarkdale clocked over 3GHz

Posted on Thursday, May 07 2009 @ 02:02:48 CEST by

FUD Zilla has a bit more info about the specifications of Intel's upcoming 32nm Clarkdale, which will feature an integrated 45nm graphics module:
Intel plans that Clarkdale should replace the 3.33GHz clocked Core 2 Duo E8600 and in order to successfully replace a CPU you have to be the faster of two. We expect that top Clarkdale might run at 3.33GHz if not even at 3.5GHz or higher, as clock to clock Westmere 32nm CPU should be a bit faster than Penryn 45nm based Core 2 Duo.
