An additional slot cover with a rotary potentiometer is supposed to allow control over up to three fans. One of the five 5.25 inch bays can also hold a 3.5 inch device. Xigmatek delivers a fixation system you don't need screws for. Additionally there are five 3.5 inch drive bays which are rotated by 90 degrees. The drives can easily be removed and according to Xigmatek they are also embedded on anti-vibration rubbers. The Midgard has an all black finish that is added to by the orange highlights typical for Xigmatek.
According to the press release the front cover is fully detachable. An I/O panel offers an E-SATA and two USB 2.0 ports as well as audio connectors. On the lower part of the front a mesh covers the 120 mm fan whose orange blades create a nice effect in combination with the white LEDs. The power supply unit is installed on the floor of the case. Another advantage according to the manufacturer: Long PSUs don't pose a problem since anti-vibration material is supposed to cushion the transmission of vibrations. An opening in the motherboard tray grants access to possible backplates of CPU coolers even when the motherboard is installed.
