DigiTimes claims HP will initially launch CULV-based notebooks using chassis designs from existing notebooks before introducing ultra-thin designs in the final quarter of the year.
The strategy will enable HP to bring CULV-notebooks to market sooner, and will also help it to be price competitive compared to its competitor's ultra-thin notebooks such as Acer's new Aspire Timeline series, the sources noted.
