Qualcomm gets into Netbooks with Snapdragon chips

Computex Taipei 2009: Qualcomm was yet another company who decided to throw a press conference the day before Computex actually started, which does catch most media out. But it's just as well us die hard enthusiasts are always here early.

Jim Doe addressed the audience on the overview of Qualcomm's new "Snapdragon" processors. Qualcomm has mass produced the Snapdragon chip line with 40 new designs in the works. Today Smartbook is the newest technology added which will focus on Always On and Instant On tech and Qualcomm expects to see the first products based on the new Snapdragon by end of year. The new Snapdragon is the 45nm 1.3GHz QSD8650A with power and performance enhancements. Check it out at TweakTown.
