FUD Zilla writes NVIDIA's first 40nm GPU that will end up on retail shelves will be the GeForce GT 220. This is a low-end product with 128-bit memory interface and 1GB GDDR3 memory, it will ship for just over $50 and will replace the GeForce 9500 series.
It's possible that you'll see these cards in retail / etail later in the summer, but at least they are real and Nvidia has some 40nm chips to show and sell. The first 40nm steps are not easy, and its very possible that there will be a mobile variation of the same chip for notebooks, which might get a lot of attention.
