MSI expects to double notebook shipments in 2H 2009

MSI chairman Joseph Hsu expects his company will ship 50-100 percent more notebooks in the second half of this year, compared to the first half. The strongest growth is expected in China, while order volumes from Latin America and Eastern Europe are also expected to pick up.
The company will see the strongest growth coming from China, while order volumes from Latin America and Eastern Europe will also pick up, said Hsu, adding that overall demand has already recovered by around 70-80%, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
Another interesting tidbit is that MSI has already prepared Android-based netbooks, the company will start shipping these on clients' requests.
