Mac OS X Snow Leopard has no PowerPC support

Posted on Wednesday, June 10 2009 @ 13:35:15 CEST by

It shouldn't really come as a surprise, but it's now official that Apple's upcoming Snow Leopard operating system will not support old Mac computers with PowerPC based processors.

The full requirements of Mac OS X Snow Leopard can be read over here. You need a Mac with an Intel processor, 1GB memory, 5GB free disk space and a DVD drive for installation.
