Acer chairman says notebook shipments expected to pick up in September

Posted on Tuesday, June 23 2009 @ 00:26:08 CEST by

Acer chairman JT Wang expects shipments of notebooks will pick up in September with help from Windows 7:
Acer chairman, JT Wang, recently forecast that the company's notebook shipments will remain flat through July and August 2009 and chance to pick up in September with help from Windows 7.

Wang pointed out that the market status still remains low in both Europe and the US, while China is currently seeing better performance.

Although the global economy has already hit bottom, the how long a complete recovery will take still remains unclear, Wang noted.
