NVIDIA working on 28nm GPUs

Posted on Tuesday, August 18 2009 @ 13:26:06 CEST by

FUD Zilla had a chat with NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsuan Huang and learned that NVIDIA will soon pick a fab for its 28nm GPUs, which are slated to arrive in a year or two:
During our conversation it came up that Nvidia would soon have to pick a fab in order to be able to start designing 28nm GPUs that should come in two years from now, or even a bit later. Globalfoundries might be the one, but this won’t be confirmed for quite some time.

Jensen also hinted that there might be 32nm process that should appear in-between the current 40nm and future 28nm process.
