Acer and Lenovo prepping Tegra based smartbooks with Chrome OS?

Posted on Thursday, September 03 2009 @ 17:04:38 CEST by

Lenovo and Acer are working on NVIDIA Tegra based smartbooks with the Google Chrome OS, according to a report by Shanzai. The site claims these devices will be launched by mid-2010.
According to our reliable sources on the Mainland, both Lenovo and Acer are planing to launch Tegra-based devices running Google's Chrome OS, and the word on the streets is that it could even happen sometime later this month. So far there's no concrete indication whether or not these devices will fall neatly in to the emerging smartbook category, although that certainly seems to be the most likely scenario.
