Intel aims to ship a million Lynnfield CPUs by year-end

DigiTimes heard Intel has set a goal to ship one million Core i5 and Core i7 "Lynnfield" processors by the end of the year.
Asustek Computer and Gigabyte Technology are expected to each ship 400,000 P55-based motherboards by year-end 2009, indicated the sources. Meanwhile, combined shipments of P55 boards from other motherboard makers including Micro-Star International (MSI), Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) and ASRock may total around 200,000 units, the sources estimated.
