ExtremeTech reports Google has developed "Noop", an experimental language for the Java Virtual Machine.
"Noop is a new language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine, and in source form looks similar to Java," according to the Noop Web page. The goal is to build dependency injection and testability into the language from the beginning, rather than rely on third-party libraries as all other languages do."

Noop, pronounced "no op", is "new language experiment that attempts to blend the best lessons of languages old and new, while syntactically encouraging industry best-practices and discouraging the worst offenses," according to Google.
