Intel showed off Anti-Theft Technology for laptops

Intel unveiled a new anti-theft technology for laptops at the IDF, it will be commercialized next year:
David Perlmutter announced IntelĀ® Anti-Theft Technology3 (IntelĀ® AT) version 2.03, an intelligent technology in PC hardware that disables laptop PC and access to encrypted data if it's lost or stolen. Collaborating with key security ISVs, Intel AT will enable enhanced data protection, PC theft deterrence for consumers as well as a broad number of consumer and business laptops from leading PC OEMs in 2010.
