Windows 7 to get its first security updates next week

Microsoft has prepared 13 security bulletins for next week's Patch Tuesday. There are eight critical and five important updates, addressing a total of 34 vulnerabilities in Windows, Internet Explorer, Office, Silverlight, Forefront, Developer Tools, and SQL Server.

There are six patches for Windows XP, five for Windows Vista and the upcoming Windows 7 will receive one security update for an Internet Explorer 8 related flaw.
