Dutch tech site Tweakers writes HTC will soon stop equipping its phones with the company's proprietary ExtUSB connector, which features USB and headset connections in a single combined connector.

Micro-USB will become the standard connector type for cell phones in Europe by 2012, so HTC will switch to Micro-USB and provide audio via a standard 3.5mm jack.
