Cooler Master announced it started shipping the G1 revision of its Hyper TX3 and Hyper 212 Plus processor coolers. These new models will be available for the same price but come with improvements to the direct-touch heatpipe design and the fan clip design:
  • We improved the heatpipe direct contact bases by removing the channels to hold the thermal paste. They include smooth polished base to increase surface contact. This will remove the gaps that are designed to hold the thermal paste so there will be more consistent performance not depending on how well the thermal paste is spread.

  • Next we improved the fan clip design. Many end users complained because they could not understand how to install the cooler using the provided fan clips. To remedy this and make the fan installation simpler, we redesigned the entire heatsink array to be able to use our standard plastic snap on fan clips. While installing a fan now will require a screwdriver, the process will be more straight forward to end users and easier for them to understand. These brackets will be included for twin fan installation out of the box. We will continue to include our high performance blademaster 120 and 92mm coolers.
