Infosys to set up technology centre with NVIDIA to develop CUDA solutions

IT outsourcing giant Infosys Technologies announced a partnership with NVIDIA to develop CUDA based software solutions. The company will open a CUDA technology centre at its campus in Bangalore, India, and intends to use CUDA for its customers in health care and life sciences, e-governance, finance and medical sciences.
As the first step, the partnership will see setting up of the Infosys-Nvidia Technology campus at the Infosys campus here, Subu Goparaju, Vice President and Head of Software Engineering and Technology Labs, told media.

Cuda technology, developed by Santa Clara-headquartered, Nividia is a revolutionary architecture in the field of high performance computing. Cuda technology is designed to allow application developers to tap the unexploited power potential of GPU in order to accelerate a certain application, consequently boosting performance level.
