Poor availability of ATI Radeon HD 5970 cards

The ATI Radeon HD 5970 graphics card was launched today but unfortunately the card suffers the same poor availability problems as the Radeon HD 5800 series.

Some cards are available in the retail channel, but rumor has it that there are only a couple of thousand of cards available and that it may take until 2010 before availability issues will be resolved.
