Foxconn to take over Dell fab in Poland

Foxconn announced it wants to acquire Dell's PC production lines in Lodz, Poland. If everything goes well the deal may go through in the second half of 2010, it first needs to pass EU regulatory approval.
Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) announced on December 2, that the company will acquire Dell's PC production lines in Lodz, Poland. The deal is currently being evaluated by the European Union (EU) for regulatory approval and if the process goes smoothly, Foxconn is expected to make payments and start property transfer in the second half of 2010.

Dell also announced it continue to source desktop and notebook computers, servers and storage systems for EMEA customers from Lodz via Foxconn.
