Dell Vostro V13 is thin and starts at $449

Dell introduced the V13 laptop series for business users, these 13.3" CULV models remind us a bit of the desin of the expensive Adamo XPS. The Dell V13 is just 0.65" thick and has a base weight of 1.6kg, it has an aluminum design and a price tag starting at $449.

The cheapest model features the Intel Celeron M ULV 743 1.3GHz processor, 2GB DDR3-1066MHz, 250GB 5400RPM HDD, integrated graphics, 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, Ubuntu Linux 9.04, 802.11b/g WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, 5-in-1 memory card reader, 34nm ExpressCard, and a 6-cell 30WHr battery.

The Windows 7 Home Premium version of the Dell Vostro V13 starts at $599, that model features the Intel Core 2 Solo ULV SU3500 1.4GHz processor and also a 320GB HDD. Add another $100 and you get the performance package with Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU7300 1.3GHz and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. An external DVD burner or Blu-ray drive is optional.
