Electronista reports patent holder OPTi is going after NVIDIA for skipping royalty payments. The company is infamous for its patent lawsuits, it recently won $21.7 million in a case against Apple.
Patent holder OPTi this afternoon launched arbitration against NVIDIA in an attempt to garner more royalty payments. It claims that the GeForce creator is breaching a licensing deal struck in 2006 for "pre-snoop" memory technology by declining to pay five quarterly payments worth $3.75 million. It's also allegedly continuing to use the predictive technique and could owe as many 12 total payments.

NVIDIA hasn't yet responded to the call for arbitration.
