DFI to exit the motherboard market?

The Tech Report writes DFI may leave the motherboard market:
Smaller, enthusiast-focused motherboard makers were grabbing all the headlines a few years ago. Nowadays, Abit no longer even sells motherboards, and we seldom hear the DFI name anymore. This could all end with DFI pulling out of the mobo market—so says SemiAccurate, quoting both the rumor mill and its own, anonymous sources.

The site claims DFI will pull out of the consumer motherboard market next month, letting inventory run out before shifting focus to the "industrial PC business." Why the change? DFI is a "relatively small player" in the high-end motherboard market, SemiAccurate points out, and the firm purportedly gets the short end of the stick when it comes to supply allocation from chipset vendors.
