ASUS Eee Pad rumored to get Tegra and multi-touch

Electronista reports ASUS may be working on an Eee Pad tablet based on the next-gen NVIDIA Tegra chip. The tablet is expected to be released after March 2010.
The move would give the 4- to 7-inch device at least 720p HD and possibly 1080p if based on the future NVIDIA hardware.

At the same time, Netbook News claims that multi-touch input is "as good as confirmed" and, as a result, hint that the Eee Pad won't use Windows CE or Mobile but instead a platform that actually recognizes multi-touch natively, such as Android 2.x. Windows 7 supports multi-touch but would be ruled out as it doesn't support ARM processors like the Tegra.
