Internet Explorer marketshare drops to 62.69 percent

Web browser usage figures from Net Applications indicate the marketshare of Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser dropped to 62.69 percent in December 2009, down from 63.62 percent in November 2009 and about 7 percent less than a year ago.

Compared to January, Firefox gained 2.5 percent, Chrome grabbed 3.11 percent, Safari took another 0.84 percent and Opera rose just 0.17 percent.
