OCZ reveals specifications of USB 3.0 SSD

OCZ revealed some specifications of its upcoming external solid state disk with USB 3.0 support. This device has an anodized aluminum enclosure and promises a 5Gb/s transfer rate, ultraportable design, superior power management, and lower CPU utilization. The device will be available with 64GB, 128GB and 256GB MLC flash memory. It measures 56mm x 120mm x 10mm and weighs 87.7g.

Exact performance details are unknown, but it seems to be well over 300MB/s based on the details OCZ provided. The company claims 500MB can be transferred in just 1.6 seconds, and 6GB in only 20 seconds. Pricing and availability is unknown.
