Posted on Thursday, January 07 2010 @ 15:00:47 CET by

Sony introduces the VAIO VPCF11Z1E/BI, a new notebook with a 16.4" Full HD display. This system will start shipping by the end of the month, it features the Intel Core i7-720QM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB GDDR3 (a DX10 graphics card), 8GB DDR3 memory, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray writer, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Bluetooth.
Now there’s no need to compromise if you need a notebook computer to handle all your multimedia creation and entertainment needs with ease.

There’s power inside the new VAIO F Series from Sony to make light work of editing Full HD video and RAW image files, watching movies on Blu-ray Disc™ and more.

Your ultimate Full HD studio, the range-topping VAIO VPCF11Z1E/BI is distinguished by its luxurious premium black finish that’s accented by a comfortable elastomer palmrest.

Movies, games and your personal media collection are brought to life by the professional-grade 41.6cm (16.4”) Full HD VAIO Display Premium. The anti-glare screen offers full 100% Adobe RGB coverage for the truest, most vivid reproduction of colour tones you’ve seen from a notebook computer. Other VAIO F Series models feature a high-quality VAIO Display with Full HD 1920x1080 resolution.

Dazzling multimedia performance is assured by the latest line of Intel® CoreTM i7 processors (Quad Core, 8 threads). Awesome power is complemented by a Blu-ray Disc writer, plus 8GB of DDR3 main memory to handle demanding video applications with ease. NVIDIA® GeForce® GT330M graphics combined with 1GB of GDDR3 VRAM with CUDA™ parallel architecture deliver dazzling, detail-packed 3D graphics and silky smooth Full HD video playback.

The sheer processing power and graphics capabilities of the new VAIO F Series also makes it a perfect platform for editing Full HD video captured with your Handycam® or RAW files from your ALPHA DSLR camera. Hook up an external SATA hard disk drive via the eSATA/USB port to enjoy super-fast file transfers up to 5x faster than via USB2.0.

Great movie entertainment comes naturally to the new VAIO F Series, with either a Blu-ray Disc Drive or Blu-ray Disc Combo Drive as standard. Unique to Sony, Motion Reality HD and Video Optimiser ensures smoother, more cinematic playback of Full HD movies on Blu-ray Disc.

Rich, immersive audio adds an extra dimension to an exhilarating personal cinema experience. Latest Dolby® Home Theater v3 wraps you in powerful surround sound with exceptional clarity, whether you’re listening to music, movie dialogue or games.

Shipped with Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, the new VAIO F Series is a talented all-rounder that can effortlessly handle your everyday computing needs. Comfortable typing on the premium keyboard is enhanced by the addition of a full-size numeric keypad for quick, positive data entry – just as you’d find on a desktop PC.

Bundled software includes the latest version of PMB (Picture Motion Browser) VAIO Edition, now optimised for blazing performance with the quad-core processor. This easy-to-use application makes it quicker, easier and more intuitive than ever to create your own professional home movies in just few easy steps and transfer them to DVD or Blu-ray Disc.

The new VAIO F Series has also been designed with energy efficiency in mind. A light sensor automatically adjusts screen illumination levels, saving power in dim conditions. There’s also a handy Display Off button that cuts consumption when you’re listening to music or watching Blu-ray Disc movies on a connected TV.
