Acer to launch Chrome OS netbook in Q3 2010

Acer executive Jim Wong revealed his company will introduce Google Chrome OS based netbooks in Q3 2010.
During a recent interview with Bloomberg, Jim Wong, senior corporate vice president and president of IT product business group at Acer, confirmed earlier Digitimes reports that Acer will launch Chrome OS-based netbooks in the second half of 2010.

Acer aims to ship one million Chrome-based netbooks in 2010, which will account for 6.7-8.3% of its annual shipments projection of 12-15 million netbooks, according to Wong's statement.
