ASUS eBook readers may arrive sooner than expected

DigiTimes heard ASUS is considering to launch its eBook reader devices earleir than expected due to the growing popularity of this product class.
In response, Asustek said it has yet to start volume production of its e-book readers, and specifications, prices or marketing schedules have yet to be finalized.

A previous report said Asustek's e-book readers were unlikely to hit the market shelves in the first half of 2010, but the sources said the company is now reconsidering the schedule because of the growing popularity of such devices.
