Good news for video game players who rightfully felt that the 2009 holiday season's crop of electronic amusements left their joysticks feeling a little limp: The coming year promises to be a much richer one for diehard enthusiasts. Thank a murderer's row worth of blockbuster releases aimed at both casual and hardcore players that's set to roll out every few weeks beginning at the end of January. From massively multiplayer first-person shooters (MAG) to grandiose action-adventures (Bayonetta) and epic real-time strategy titles (Supreme Commander 2), there's no end to the virtual riches in sight. Even sweeter still, rather than leave wide gaps between star-studded debuts, publishers plan to better space out release dates in 2010, letting fans comfortably roll from the likes of Dante's Inferno to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Alan Wake in short order.
