FUD Zilla spotted OCZ's Vertex LE solid state disk is now available at some European etailers. This is one of the first solid state disks with the SandForce SSD controller, the disk features a maximum read speed of 270MB/s and maximum write speed of 250MB/s. The sustained write speed is 235MB/s and it can achieve up to 50,000 IOPS (4KB file size, random read). The OCZ Vertex LE supports the TRIM command and ships with a 3-year warranty.
The price tag for the cheaper 100GB version starts at €338,91 and climbs up to €409 depending on the country and the retailer/e-tailer, while the 200GB version is priced between €733 and €919. According to our info and the fact that the new Vertex LE is listed all around Europe, it should become available pretty soon, while the Vertex 2 Pro should come somewhere around CeBIT.
