Zhongguancun - a look at China's Silicon Valley

Five of the top technology companies in China made an appearance at CES. They proved that China is a power to be reckoned with, not only in the world economy, but in the world of technology. They come from Zhongguancun, better know to English speakers as the Beijing Science Park. And impressive they were.

Zhongguancun is a 232 square kilometer complex, with nearly 20,000 high tech enterprises residing in. In 2006, the Park’s sales revenue was approximately equivalent to $80 billion USD. This is their first excursion into the US arena at CES.
