DigiTimes writes motherboards based on the AMD 890GX IGP chipset are expected to be launched in early March. The site says ASUS, Gigabyte, ECS and Biostar all plan to introduce products at the same time, and adds that the 880G and 890FX chipsets are expected to be announced by the end of April, but motherboards will not appear until early May.
AMD 890GX chipset's integrated GPU supports DirectX 10.1 and UVD2 and will pair with its SB850 southbridge to replace the company's current 790GX/SB750 combination.

Asustek is already offering pre-orders for its 890GX-based motherboards, the M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 and M4A89GTD Pro in Europe with the former motherboard featuring support for USB 3.0.
