ASUS introduced the 9" DR-900 eBook reader at CeBIT, this model is no thicker than a pencil and has integrated WiFi and optional 3G. The device has a 1024 x 768 pixel touchscreen and supports many formats, including PDF, ePub, HTML, TXT, JPG, and MP3. The battery can be charged via USB 2.0 in 3.5 hours and according to ASUS a single battery charge should be enough for around 10,000 page turns - the equivalent of about twenty 400-page novels.

The DR-900 features 2GB or 4GB of memory, there's a SD memory card expansion slot and also a 3.5mm jack for listening to music. The device is expected to be available by the end of April of early May along with a 6" model, but the pricing is still unknown. Moreover, ASUS also revealed plans to launch a eReader with color display in early 2011.
