Next Tomb Raider will not get a retail release

Crystal Dynamics announced the new Tomb Raider game will not have a retail release at all, the game will only be distributed via digital systems such as Steam and PSN.
The latest Tomb Raider won't even be a Tomb Raider game though, technically. Developer Crystal Dynamics, who took over from UK-based Core Design a few years back, are ditching the TR prefix in order to focus on the lady herself. The game will be titled simply as Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

There are few other details on what the game will be likes, though Crystal's previous games and direction with the series has taken the games down an increasingly story-led action adventure path.
