ASUS has developed MATRIX, a custom Radeon HD 5870 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 memory. The card's GPU has been overclocked from 850MHz to 894MHz, while the memory's clockspeed remains unchanged at 4800MHz. Besides some tweaks for higher overclocking potential, MATRIX 5870 also has an improved cooler that should perform about 12 percent better than the reference cooler. Included with the card is the new iTracker 2 overclocking cool, the latest version of this utility enables you to change the memory timings.

The ASUS MATRIX 5870 is expected to be available by mid-April for around 472EUR.
