Biostar TA890FXE specifications unveiled

Posted on Friday, April 02 2010 @ 22:52:36 CEST by

BIOSTAR MICROTECH INT’L CORP., a professional manufacturer of motherboards today reveals its new AMD 8xx series chipset motherboard line up, including 890FX, 890GX, 880G, and 870X chipset family.

Later this month, AMD will be releasing their most important product in 2010 - the enthusiast 890FX chipset and Phenom II X6 processor. AMD 890FX chipset, codenamed RD890 accompanied by HyperTransport 3.0 and South Bridge SB850, which provides native support for SATA 6.0 Gbps.

BIOSTAR famous T-Series “TA890FXE” motherboard supports existing and upcoming socket AM3 processors, including Phenom II X6. “TA890FXE” is powered by a 6 phase PWM, supporting 140W processors, four PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots supporting ATI CrossFireX technology, apart from two legacy PCI slots. 7.1 channel HD Blu-Ray audio, Gigabit Ethernet, and FireWire make for the rest of it

According to AMD official announcement earlier that SB850 does not support ACC function; but BIOSTAR “BIO-unlocKING” technology breakthrough the limitation and provides the flexibility to unlock extra core(s) achieving much greater performance with lower cost. “BIO-unlocKING” technology is available on every BIOSTAR 8xx series motherboard.

“TA890FXE” also obtains the T-Series tradition; it offers outstanding overclocking capability for all time. We shall expect some amazing records later on.
