Atari to launch new The Matrix game at the end of the year

Game maker Atari announced a new computergame based on The Matrix, in which the user will be able to play as the lead character Neo.

The game, called "The Matrix: Path of Neo" will be directed by the Wachowski brothers, who wrote and directed The Matrix trilogy as well as the video game "Enter the Matrix".

Atari said that the characters in the game will have the likenesses of the movie characters and the game will also feature some footage from the movies.

The Matrix: Path of Neo will be launched by the holiday season on PC, PS2 and Xbox.
