Nokia: Phones to make dSLR cameras obsolete

While we've yet to see a phone that delivers the same kind of image quality as a decent digital camera, Nokia's sales chief seems to think that phones have a chance of making digital SLR cameras obsolete in the near future:
"They will in the very near future revolutionise the market for system cameras," Anssi Vanjoki said in a speech in Helsinki.

"There will be no need to carry around those heavy lenses," Vanjoki said, pointing to a professional photographer taking pictures of him.
Vanjoki also added that phones with HD video recording capabilities will arrive within the next 12 months. More info at Reuters.
