Buffalo to ship USB 3.0 solid state disks

Buffalo will start shipping its SHD-PEHU3 family of external solid state disks in May, these new models feature USB 3.0 support to deliver data transfer speeds of up to 244MB/s when using the bundled Turbo PC software.
Coming only in a glossy black chassis, the new drives measure 97 (W) x 57 (H) x 12 (D) mm and weight 66 grams, are compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 systems, and are bundled with security software for easy encryption and data protection.

The 64GB, 128GB and 256GB SHD-PEHU3 SSDs are slated to ship in Japan in late May at prices around $282, $510 and $1,079, respectively.
