FUD Zilla writes netbooks with Intel's upcoming dual-core Atom N550 processor are expected to retail for around $349 to $399. These systems are slated to arrive in Q3 2010.
Intel has a plan to release a second netbook platform to sit next to currently well know single cores. Single-core Atom N455 or N475 based netbooks with 512MB to 1GB memory and 16 to 32GB SSD or 160GB to 250GB storage running on Linux or Windows 7 starter in 10.2 inch cost some $249 to $349. This is what Intel suggests its partners as the price range.

Once Intel introduce its N550 dual-core Atom, its recommended system price will increase to $349 - $399 but its recommended configuration includes 1GB DDR3 memory as well as 20GB to 32GB SSD or a 250GB hard drive.
