EE Times writes Liquavista has developed a transflective e-reader display.
LiquavistaVivid offers a bright monochrome reading experience both indoors and outdoors, while also supporting video and color on demand, the company said.

Depending on environment and application, LiquavistaVivid displays can switch from a paper-like monochrome mode, to a color-rich multimedia mode. This allows Liquavista displays to support power-hungry video and low-power static reading modes, the company said. The size of display possible with LiquavistaVivid was not discussed.
