Acer revealed it's working on new netbooks and tablets with Intel's latest Atom processor and with the MeeGo operating system.
Acer president Gianfranco Lanci at Intel's e21FORUM 2010 meeting at Computex 2010 pointed out that Acer will launch netbooks and tablet PCs that adopt Intel's latest Atom processor and will also preload the MeeGo platform on them.

At the meeting, Intel announced that the company will add dual-core Intel Atom processors to its netbook platform and is on track for production next week. Based on the Pine Trail platform, and on shelves before this winter holiday shopping season, mobile dual-core Intel Atom processors will deliver a noticeably snappier, more responsive consumer experience in the same compact form factors, and with the same great battery life, Intel said.
