Kindle and Nook eReaders get big price cut

Following increased competition from tablets such as the Apple iPad, two of the most popular eReader devices have received big price cuts. Amazon decided to cut the price of its Kindle from $259 to $189, while Barnes & Noble lowered the price of the Nook from $259 to $199. Additionally, Barnes & Noble also introduced a new Nook without 3G support for $149.99.
